The place just beyond my eyes, where my spirit flies.

I am the elementary songbird,
Of the mystic art of spoken word.
The one in the corner, lost in his mind,
The lone wolf, no such thing as "my kind."
And through all this foam and haze,
The Blue Diamond saves me from my mind's maze.
The wind whistles and I am wondering,
Without my pill, my brain is blundering,
And the clouds above, raining and thundering.

I can't feel alone, the way you make me feel,
I just wish that all this were real.
But it's not; this is all in my head,
The same with the monsters under my bed.
After 8 hours, when my Diamond is spent,
I lay in bed, wondering where my mind went.
This is something that really affects me,
Even my day-to-day life doesn't come for free,
The reason behind this is that I have A.D.D.

I know a couple of people who have severe ADD. And I never really understood the way their minds worked, but that helps some. Thanks. And yes, I liked it. Nice work.

I liked this alot, o yes I did, it totally got my vote, though I think I liked the second stanza better, but it was all very cool. my b/f has A.D.D. and its funny to watch him...but its not funny that he has it. anyways, good write.

A little place inside my head

I have a mild case of ADD...and I do have to take medicine for it. ADD helped me escape the reality that is my life, but now, I find no way to break my chains. Your poem hit home with me, so I added it to my library.
