Looking for truth, she's giving up.
Confusion surrounds her soul,
for she finds no answers.
The hate she refuses to believe,
even when it is her only friend.
Looking for her place,
the word "lost" mirrors in her eyes.
Through the glaze of lonliness,
she sees one bright star.
Wishing will get you nowhere,
that she did not know.
But that star held life,
an epiphany of hopes and dreams.

Lovely first post, but you'll hear that plenty. Let me think of something else... hmm.. I like that you created a beacon of hope and yet added that wishing in itself will get you nowhere. You didn't just show one reflection on the water's surface.
