The Eyes

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder,
what expressive truth those words do speak.
The impressive view is that with artists’ eyes,
to not have them, crafts the witness weak.

Seeing soul in commonplace matter,
is curious but not an effortless feat.
The watcher must see through the mind’s skies,
to the vulnerable person underneath.

The eventual goal makes a believer,
from the achievement of this great deed.
Unmasking a human exposing all lies,
is a most credible act indeed.
