Tearing at my will.
Peeling away layer
After layer...
After layer...
Until I am fully exposed,
Naked,
To whom all view me.

Nothing left to hide.
My heart spills the truth
All over the table.
I lay my cards out,
Face up,
So you can see
The real me.

My face is no longer
Covered by a mask.
I have ended my charade.
I am now just me,
Not what everyone wanted
Me to be.
I chose to be myself. *

"In life you must dance like no one is watching, sing like no one is listening and love like it's never going to hurt..."

Being yourself is always the best choice. Very nice poem!
