It hurts for me to look at you and feel the way I feel, Cause I see the way you look at me and I just see this sheild, It's hard to hold it in when I see the look in your eyes, sometimes I see you, sometimes a disguise, Not knowing when to speak or exactly what I should say, seems everyday theres a different you and my words might come out the wrong way... Your so unpredictable I always feel second best, Whenever a pretty face comes along, I'm put below the rest, Put on hold just waiting for you, To see if you come back or if you found someone new, hurting in the process, emotions being thrown around, Longing to be able to tell you, I wish it was me that you found... You say I'm just a friend and think that makes it safe, you think I wouldnt fall for you, you think my heart wouldn't break, Somewhere along the line, you secretly stole my heart, You might not even know it yet but you continue to tear it apart, It hurts more everyday to wake up to this reality, just to look at you and realize that it's all we'e gonna be, I wish I could tell you the truth, and I wish you'd feel the same, But a chance for you to deny me, I wouldn't put myself through the pain... |
