Land Of Misfits...

A low wind awakes the eyes
  whose environment was once cold and dark.
The eye's begin to search
  small wonders cared by no one
are appreciated with the hidden smile.

Adventures begin to unfold
as the fingers sense the meaning of land,
with their first touch upon a paved highway.

Sewers and tunnels use to be home
  though now as smells enter the lungs,
and objects come to view;
  The emerging man must choose.

Does he want a damered world
  dripping away his desires,
or
Does he wish to explore the mind
  for understanding, in seek of an adventure
to happen for forever more?

I choose to explore the deepths of my mind, rather than endulging in the dampering desires of the world. I like the wording in this piece, I found it very..moving, and interesting, I read it slowly, so that I wouldn't miss anything. Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed this.
