It's been a while I know! Life just gets away sometimes you know? But I finally took a moment from all this choas in my life as of late and sat down and penned something, tell me what you think.

It is in the night my mind becomes awake
The darkest hour of midnight
Opens a portal to my soul
Pure and innocent essence
Written in the shadow of candle light
With eyes that stare at a flame unseen
A world passing across heavy lids
Sown through the veins flowing out the fingertips
On to flawless paper
Dreams about an unparalleled reality
Incoherent thought
Like the incessant ramblings of a crazy woman
And yet; when written down
Perfect sense is made
Epiphany
Reality
Structure
Idea
Expression moving across the memory
While the hand scrambles to catch up
With everything the mind proclaims
An instant of recognition with something long lost
And then…
The blink of an eye
The flickering of the candle
And the world recedes into the background
As a new sun arises

People always ask me why I don't look toward my future I tell them to many interesting things are happening today.

Wonderful poem! I really like this one alot.
Especially the lines, "With eyes that stare at a flame unseen." & "Expression moving across the memory." and the 2 lines under that also, that is so true!
Sometimes I'll forget a thought because I couldn't write it down fast enough.
Great job!

Wow...this is EXTREMELY well written.
Your choice of words is excellent,
and you've penned a masterpiece here.
VERY nicely done!
