"Heal This Place"

Mother and baby girl rolling around the town
Pushing ripped umbrellas on a battered wagon
Stands alone in a dream don't let it bring you down
Feel like a bouquet from a homeless florists son
To be resigned a bum ain't the end of it all
Trade the rodden orange for a new to survive
Reminiscing colours of people painted tall
The honest promises will they ever arrive
Headlines in the paper sell the famous pictures
There is no turning back cause this time it's for real
No person on this earth which can you discourage
You gotta hurry up this place needs to be healed
You gotta heal this place, you gotta heal this place, for every one of us

When the shoe doesn't fit don't try to press it on
A gun distracts your mind from liberies cries
Because a bird can't sing if the tune is all wrong
Wouldn't give you a dime to roll those seven eyes
Soul's fight alone in the steel bos of poverty
Sacrafice the shallow drive the whole world insane
Through the greyhen haze you keep the sad smiles happy
Sick and tired of playing the same government game
Briefing starving hunters with the smell of fresh blood
Re-write history as if it was never told
The working man's bold in hails several culture nods
Believe in your own ears life is empty and cold
You gotta heal this place, you gotta heal this place,
for every one of us

Everywhere you go there you are
No matter how much you take away
All places you've been I have seen
None of them ever wanted to stay
Confess the lies you're talking
Confront the miles you're walking

Everybody's afraid of something in this land
Your fever's losing ground the aching is so loud
I wish I could more than just a helping hand
But it's so hard to reach that far within the crowd
You've been racing for years but still no finish line
For they're concentrating on the less cueller things
Breathing with you I forget the concept of time
A woman shows off her big engraved wedding ring
The creepers they never seek for stuff that's not there
His preaching words divide all the right from all wrong
Mountains of pain's forming from burdens I can't bare
I hope this place is where beauty will soon belong
You gotta heal this place, you gotta heal this place
For every one of us
