Maybe you should look,
On the brighter side of things,
On the brighter side of me,
Try to figure out what went wrong

Spending the days lonely,
The nights dark and wear,
It’s okay we all make mistakes,
I’ve got all the change you’ll ever need

So pick yourself up,
Up and off the ground,
Everyday is a new day
And the sunshine ain’t that far away

So live life for the moment,
And live it for you,
This oh-so tragic trip we call life
Can only get better with time, dear

And our love will soon burn bright,
Brighter than the gloom,
That used to consume your every word,
It will burn away any doubts you’ve ever had,
Leave you left with a void,
That you know only I can fill.

You no longer need to hide,
Behind the falseness you once felt,
You no longer need to hide,
Behind the fear and the pain

Your soul will soon be burning,
With the happiness for which we all yearn,
Our love will soon bloom,
Like a flower on a sunny afternoon

I’ll hold you tight tonight,
And everything will always be alright

Trouble Breathing~
I really like the positive feel
and the 'hope' in this piece.
I particularly enjoyed this...

"And our love will soon burn bright,
    Brighter than the gloom,
That used to consume your every word,"

Beautiful words and an even more beautiful thought.
Nicely written.
~Vicky

"...until you have read the verse on his heart,
you have not truly met the poet.
