i'm a widow, grunged-up
and lazy, latent and missing
in .3person
resting my jaw in the cracks
of my shoulderblade

when i say it, i say it and mean it
threetimes the stars you think i mean
and i'd like to let you know,
i'd like to, i'd,love
  be here with me
palisade mesophyll
you get it, you know
what's gonna swallow us
now

I know I'm tired, and in the midst of homework, but, I honestly cannot guess what this is.

What a lovely poem. Very well written, just like your work always is, Carly.

Sleep wha? Mmmmm...sleep...well no..it isn't sleep. And Titus, thanks

Hint:  "palisade mesophyll" is very very important.

Oh god!! Carlita, this one is on the tip of my tongue but it's just not coming out. I can see it...but it's kind of blurry. ARGH!!! Thank you for sending my brain into insane mode - lol.

This is a good one - I like it. Now if I could figure it out, it would be even better.

I *will* come back to this.

Something to do with a garden? Resting in a garden?

Yes. I used an online dictionary.

It's a spider being eaten by a tree!  One of those trees from The Wizard of Oz!

Right?

Nooo   Palisade mesophyll is the layer right under the upper epidermis of a leaf. It contains chloroplasts. Something happens within chloroplasts....
