Is there a way to put out my inner truths
Without the risk of losing my security
And hide from judgement placed upon me
Couldn't bare to hear the words they'd speak
Knowing they'd never fully see the real me

Judgement lies in the minds of the envious
Though unfair it's ultimately unescapable
People fear that which they do not understand
Loyalty is hard to come by these days
You can get lost without any sign of helping hands

Deception can lead to distrust in others
Many people care only about themselves
It's sad that there's so few who truly care
Unfortunately they are taken advantage of
Often forgotten because these friends are rare

Have underestimated this unforgiving society
Can't live life as I see it should be lived
Cause the judgemental eyes will cast upon me
Criticized for every mistake, overlooking anything good
Ignoring those against me is the only way i'll be free

Great poem! I really liked this one, Im sure alot of people can relate to it.
I especially liked the lines, "People fear what they don't understand." How true that is!
And, "You can get lost without any sign of helping hands."
Well done!

I liked this. It had a meaning to it, and is a good step away from the traditional four-line rhyming stanzas. You're writing some great stuff of late Kyle, nice one.

I really liked this one.  It's akin to some of the writings and esays I've been reading in school, the name of the great writer who wrote them eluding my grasp.  I do agree that those people who are truely true are taken advantage of in this world by those who, in the end, fear them.  Well said, ShadyMakaveli.  Well said.
