I wish the pain would go away
That it would just disappear
I wish I still had you in my life
I thought we'd always be friends
With a bond that no one could break
I didn't think you'd turn against me

I never meant to hurt you
I hope you know that's true
I pay everyday for what I did
My heart is heavy and although I am happy, I cannot seem to smile
I lost the you I used to know

You had always been so sweet
Where did things go so wrong?
Why is our relationship in pieces on the ground?
Can't we pick them up? We can fix them if we try

I cry myself to sleep at night
Because I didn't even get a Good-Bye

Good poem, I can relate to it very well. I especially liked the lines, "My heart is heavy and although I am happy, I cannot seem to smile." Great Job!
