Verse 1
As I pause here to catch my breath,
I somehow lose you.
As days go bymy heartstrings scream,
With the oldest blues.
Goodbyes the saddest song I've sung,
Teary eyes prove I'm not that strong.
I'm not made of steal or stone,
Don't want to be alone
Tonight...

Chorus
How foolish of me,
To think the storm would somehow pass,
How foolish of me,
To think in the end it would last.
I don't want to face the fact,
That when I'm living for yesterday's dawn,
That's when it's time to move on.
( How Foolish of me )
How foolish of me....

Verse 2
Loneliness wants you back with me
To fade the lonely.
But my heart can't take anymore
It can barely breathe.
A strong wind is slapping my face,
The rain's washing out your embrace.
Got nothing to cling on to,
Don't know just what to do
Tonight...

Chorus x2
