In a world of dreams
reality is the only nightmare
nightly screams
daytime doesn't dare

Darkness looms
hatered blooms
the evil has no end
broken promises never to mend

In a land filled with screams
pain is always there
the pain doesn't hurt
as long as I continue to dream...

I'm back..

*bounces around* YAY! You're back!!!

Nice to see you around here again, Tony. I can see even though you've been away for a while you can still write dark pieces. Interesting choice of topic but you pull it off well like always.

Welcome back.

Came back just as you left.  You know, I was listing off poets I'd like to see again in PIPtalk a while ago, and I think I mentioned your name.  It really makes my evening to read your work again...

Well, Teen isn't what it was when you left... old faces gone, new faces here... I hope that doesn't spook you away from piptalk though.

As for your poem... well, fantasy is the best reality for some... but the dream world isn't what all of us look forward to.  Some of us can't sleep because of the monsters under our beds.  If you know what I mean.

Smashing piece. It really, truly is. It has a great.... taste, if you will.

"well, fantasy is the best reality for some... but the dream world isn't what all of us look forward to.  Some of us can't sleep because of the monsters under our beds.  If you know what I mean. "

Well said, Allan.

Nice to see you're back. And nice to see such a depressing piece of work. I've been frighteningly happy recently, and it was starting to really scare me. Anyway, nice work, hope to see more soon.

I really Loved this poem! It was so great! I especially like the first 2 lines.
And, "broken promises never to mend." And well all of them, but those really stuck out in my mind. Great Job!

Now this is my kinda work.  I'm so glad (whoever you are) that you came back, because PIP seems to be missing stuff like this and I'm glad someone's here to fill it in. Nice work kiddo.
