I understand that this work might make some poeple mad at me, but I'm outsppoken with my views and if they get mad then they get mad.  If I offend some one I am sorry, but this is how I feel.
----------------------------------------------------

We shouldn’t be over there
What about us?
Your fighting for a corrupt government

Your reasons are wrong
You have no business over there
Stay here

Brainwashed
Bullet catcher
Murderer

Who are these words said to?
Our armed forces
The ones who are protecting us

We don’t respect them like they should be
You say we shouldn’t be over there
Would you like them over here?

Yes we have problems of our own
I don’t under mind that fact
But they have made there problems ours

When they killed our own
On our soil
With our planes

They brought us into there world
And now that we retaliate
Our defenders take the hate from others

Why do I worry?
Why do I bring this to your attention?
Why should I care?

Because I will be one of those you hate
I will be the one in uniform
I will be the “brain washed bullet catcher”

Will you do this to me as well?
Will you cast me away because I fight for the flag?
Because I protect you?

Say all this to a Marine
To a Ranger
To a Seal

Say this to your protectors
The ones who allow you to sleep in peace at night
The ones who die for you

Maybe we are bullet catchers
But we have a reason
To be what we are

Would you like to be the one?
Who kill to protect?
Who are outcast because they protect?

Why don’t you stand up?
Why not take the flag up yourself?
Why not become a “bullet catcher”?

If you can’t stand for your own protection
Then why do you shun the ones who do?
Why do you hate them for keeping you safe?

Take up the challenge
Protect yourself
Protect your family

Or shut up

Read my work and read my thoughts
I'll go back into the night now

Wow. This is awesome. I love the last stanza and the last line line of the whole thing! Beautifully written. Don't worry about what everyone thinks. I'm another fan of the military. I want to be a nurse. For multiple of reasons. My mother was in the army and my father in the navy. I've had a an infatuation with the Navy since before time. I'm hoping when I get out of high school I can join the military. Representatives come to me school at least once a month. I always get info on it. I even got some from the marines. This write of yours really expresses what you feel. It gave me the chills. I love it! I truly really absolutely felt it. The honor and pride that you have to speak out for yourself and the rest of the American Military. If it weren't for you and everyone else, there would be no America. I thank you! I've just re-planned my future. GOOD JOB! And good luck where every you end up! Peace, Love, and Happiness!!!!!!! ~*~Kirah~*~
PS....THIS IS DEFINATELY LIBRARY MATERIAL!
