floating down a river...

"You see that?"
[Yeah.]
"Beautiful, huh?"
[I've lost my sense of beauty.]
"You think too much."
[Yeah. I just make everything worse, don't I?]
"You know, it doesn't have to be this way."
[How else could it ever be?]
"You could just forget. It works for me."
[I know all about your seemingly perfect solution to all of life's problems.]
"Just forget about this. It never happened."
[But, it did. Maybe not to you, but to me.]
"Why does everything always have to mean so much to you?"
[Not everything. Just you...and this.]
"You said I was the reason for all of this. So what about me means so much?"
[...The way your cheeks get flushed when it's windy.]
"..."
[And also the way your eyes are a different color everytime I look at you.]
"To hell with you."
[Go ahead. Walk away. I'll just wait here.]

I could not have loved that more. Well structured, well written. Nice.

This was beautiful. The lines flowed into each other and made a brilliant poem, very much like some of the playwright Sarah Kane's work (especially Crave or 4.48 Psychosis). It almost seems like a dialogue composed of thoughts and memories. Nice one!
