I was walking down a lonely street
The nasty stones hurting my feet
So I figured I had nothing to lose
And set off to steal a pair of shoes!

I saw you standing in a bar
Admired your loafers from afar
Just as you payed the barman's bill
I went to move in for the kill!

I said "I've heard throughout the land
You do a rather good handstand."
"I would, but my feet smell of cheese;
So would you care to show me, please?"

Oh joy! You did turn upside down!
I stole your shoes, then ran out of town
And here's the moral: Life is sweet
With stolen shoes upon your feet!

"I'm terribly sorry ma'am,  my karma just ran over your dogma"

Heh. Thanks. I'm currently thinking of another humorous poem, maybe this time to do with sheep and conspiracy theories!

Eleanor~
LOL...this is too cute.
Love the creativity, and the rhythm and flow are wonderful.
Great job on this...actually reminded me a bit
of Shel Silverstein.

Ellie,
This is cute...I have to say...I love the ending with the moral and everything, that is very cute. You are good at these things, yes, and I can't talk right, to early. Anyway...good job...
