Skip in the door
Just walked home
From the ice cream parlor
Cheery soda and a burger
Not a care in the world
No rapists
No divorces
No murders
Lucky kids of the 50`s
Sitting at home
Watching their three channels
On the black and white TV
Fuzzy like our lives nowadays
We were cheated
Stripped of our childhoods
Born in suits and ties
With briefcases at our sides
Ready to face
The brutal world of fear
Lets rewind
And stay with the kids of the 50`s

"O My love
Please don`t cry
I`ll wash my bloody hands
And well start a new life"
-Good Charlotte

And really true (sadly)
I don't wear ties.
I don't have a breifcase..
..and i hope i never do.
But yea.. life sucks now. (lol)
Good poem..
..you should show it to your kids!

Happy new year!

Great poem I loved the lines,
"Born in suits and ties..."
It brought to mind a big conveyor belt!
Keep writing.
