~Here's a little backround information...My life has been a troublesome path. I lost (died) my grandmother a little over a year ago. In that I lost a best friend (Moved down south). And a lot of other crap happened that I rather not get into. Anyway, I always had this thing with the Moon and the Stars. My room is a galaxy with sheets and a comforter to match. I love them! (Moon and stars that is). That is why I wrote this and also because I'm a little bit unhappy this evening. As I said in my last one, I'm not that good at the poem stuff yet.~

The night is dark
but a moon gives enough
light where you can
see your hand.

The stars are
the light that give
me the power to
be who I am.

Both together, reflect
upon me and catch
me while I fall.

They watch as I make
mistakes, and yet
they still twinkle.

The moon is the base
of life in my eyes.
The stars are the dead
ones that have come and
gone through my eyes.

Both reflect me
in ways that hurt
but at the same time,
Love me.

~Ones being the people who have died throught my life.~

This was spectacular. And your room sounds awesome. I want stars covering my ceiling. I love stars.

This was very good. I understand where you are coming from intirely! I lost my Grandpa not to long ago and he and I were very close..This actually gave me an idea for a poem! Not about the stars and stuff but an idea! Thank you! I think your writing is very good and I can`t wait to see you grow and become a more mature writer! You have a lot of potential!

*gasp* That was a truly wonderful piece, I really enojoyed it, and now Im gonna put it in my library so I can enjoy it more another time. Don't worry WindSong, your not alone in having all kinds of bad things in your life, I could go on and on telling you all the horrible things that have happened in mine.(don't worry I won't bore you like that)But there are good times too, and if we can share them with friends, then we can call ourselves rich. And if our friends are there to help us in the rough spots, then we can call ourselves blessed. (hey that was pretty good, I need to remember that)

Laugh often, love much, live well.

Thank you. Life sucks a lot of the time. Not all my friends are true ones though. They don't really understand me. Maybe between one and three of them do, but still friends are supposed to know how you feel and stuff...mine just don't get it. They push me over the edge. I guess it's my fault too. I can't open to all my friends, trust issues. I open to one particular person but with that is memories are painful. So I rather not talk about it. Thanks for your input, it was nice and funny. Thanks!

WindSong~
I really enjoyed reading this piece.
I agree with the others...you have a lot of
potential and I can see your talent in this piece.
I'll be looking for lots more from you.

Thank you all so very much. Do they make glow in the dark paint? Because hopefully after the holes in my wall get fixed, I want to paint my ceiling black and get stencils and paint them on it...and maybe paint my walls a light navy blue. and stencil that as well. enough of those stupid stiocky things that don't stick! lol. THanks again! BYe!

As another moon and star lover, I have to say that this was absolutely beautiful! My favourites lines were:

They watch as I make
mistakes, and yet
they still twinkle.

It's a gift to be able to find solace in a force which provides unconditional understanding and acceptance, and I'm glad you've found yours. Keep shining...

The soul would have no rainbows, had the eyes no tears.

Man... every time I read something of yours, it sends me on a trip down memory lane... maybe its the fact that we have so much history intertwined... though it was only what?  2 years I was there?  Well, whatever it is, it gives me a deeper appriciation of your poems.  I remember the circumstances, too... I hope I was some help during those troubled times.  Ehh, don't mine me, I'm feeling rather morose today.  Great poem!
