Standing In Silence...

0 posted 2002-12-20 06:47 PM

Only you can see
This hurt I feel inside
I'm caught in this riptide
They watch with simple glee
I can’t escape today
Or deal with tomorrow
Such a deep sorrow
The sea won’t give-way
I guess it’s no use
But I want you to know
That before I let go
And before my heart lets loose
How much I loved you
And how much I cared
No one could’ve compared
After what we went through
I’m wracked with pain
I feel myself getting sucked down
I wish you were around
This night my heart was slain

Puritanism: The haunting fear that someone, somewhere, may be happy.

I've thought before about the broken heart.  It hurts when you lose someone, even more so when you care for them as much as you seem to care for this person.  Just remember that a broken heart is much like the mythical Phoenix.  It bursts in flames of passion to die, but is also reborn in those same flames.  It just takes awhile to mature again.

Nice job!  I especially liked these lines.  Oh, and I just wanted to say I like your little signature.  I was just talking about it w/ a friend the other day (weird, I know).  Just though it was funny.  Anywho, nicely done!
