¡°First Light¡±

The sun rose today
And for once
Chased away the shadows

The wintry weather
That¡¯s chilled us to the bone
Has faded since the sun has risen

The days that last forever
Have finally come to end


And as I hold you
While you
Drift off to sleep
I hope
This will never end
And I can
Hold you in my arms
Forever

I enjoyed the language in the work.  It seemed very calming and i liked that.  Nicely done. Hope to see more of your work

I felt like this poem brought me into the scene, nice job writing.  I liked that is was centered too.
