Standing In Silence...

0 posted 2002-12-10 08:30 AM

Falling into the depts.
Of uncharted territory
A mass of swirling hot liquid
Surrounds me.

Shadows passing over me
The sky turned gray
And carrion birds
Fly overhead.

What is this land of devastation?
This land of broken life?
Skeletons lie around of beings that were
Once beautiful.

The rain never ceases
and the amount of shattered souls
is never the same in this
torn world.

Puritanism: The haunting fear that someone, somewhere, may be happy.
