floating down a river...

Have you looked at your reflection in the water lately?
Did you notice the pathetic look on your face?
I bet if and when you do,
You'll splash the water in violent frustration,
So you don't have to bear witness to your own destruction.
I've been there myself,
And everytime it's the same thing,
I realize just how pitiful I really am,
And wonder if I'd be any different,
Even if you were here,
Most of the time I wind up thinking:
I'd probably be a lot worse.

"Into this sea of waking dreams, I follow without pride. Nothing stands between us here and I won't be denied."-Sarah McLachlan

Some people go far too long not knowing that they're better off without someone. You wrote this well.

“A single choice can build destinies, or destroy them.”

Getting away, isn't Running away.

StellarChica~
You've done a great job of expressing the
emotion and frustration in this piece.
I also love the title...definately caught my attention.
Very nicely done.
