Who am I?
I am the walking contradiction
your parents warned you about.
I am the sweet-talking
artistic princess no one can attain.
I am the slob who lives next door --
well, when I come back home I am, anyway.
I own a lizard and five fish
and my horse is my best friend.
I don't trust easily at all
but when I do I give my all.
I hold within my heart
a capacity for love beyond your wildest dreams.
I hurt easier than I'd like to admit...
but I hide it so no one knows.
I dream the old dream of a knight in shining armour
sweeping me off of my feet and taking me to his castle.
I wish the new wish of a life filled with joy
and most importantly loving myself.
I play rugby with a passion and
ride my horse with wild abandon.
I stay up too late and get up too early
and I write too little to satisfy me.
I compare myself to my sister,
but know that I shouldn't, for we are both unique.
I'm friends with more guys than girls
because I personally think girls are stupid.
Who am I?
I am Rhonda;
the only person truly like me;
which is a good thing, cause the world
   couldn't handle more than one.

Wow this is absoloutely wonderful, you have really captured yourself in this peice well done. I especially like the lines "the walking contradiction, your parents warned you about". This is a really good peice although in parts it sounds a little bit like a ramble. Thank you for sharing this with us, I really enjoyed the read and remember I am watching carefully and expect greater things from you in the future.

Rhonda~
You already know that I love this.
You've described yourself perfectly,
and I just love the style in which you've done it.
This part, in particular, made me smile...

"I dream the old dream of a knight in shining armour
sweeping me off of my feet and taking me to his castle.
I wish the new wish of a life filled with joy
    and most importantly loving myself."

And you're on the right track for having your
'new wish' come true.   Loving this.
An excellent write and a perfect response to the challenge.
Hugs,
~Vicky

you have not truly met the poet.

You forgot the part where you say you're wonderful.

*grins* Yeah, what Stinky Twinkie said
Cows are NOT our friends! Not mine, at least

No, on second thought, let's not go to Camelot.
