Despair, Saddness, and Depression,
Bubbling up like thick black tar
To surround every aspect of life.
Everywhere I turn there is the monster,
Seeking to fatally injure me.

Depression, like a python squeezing my heart.
Strangling every thought of love.
Like a blanket of malice covering my eyes,
So I can not see that which I love.

I fight like a madman against his restraints.
Despair, and Depression will NOT have me!
I have let it win before and barely kept my mind.

The surface shows a healthy happiness.
While inside happiness starts to give way to doubt.

How long till the termites of doubt fell the tree of happiness?

Standing on the edge of the world
Now I don’t want you to catch me
I want you to let me

PeaceInEverything~
Some very well expressed emotions in this piece,
and some excellent imagery as well.
Very nicely penned.
