LoL! Y’all know me, there always has to be an ol’ Chevy somewhere when I write. Yay! My poetry is coming back to me! I'm so happy

Hair done, Make-up just right
A long, pink, flowing dress
Flirting with the flowers
Beneath my bare feet

An ol’ Chevy pulls up
And I run into his arms
A tingle down my spine
As he whispers in my ear

He’s got something planned
An evening just for two
Dinner ~ then to his house
To be by ourselves

Cuddling on the couch
Watching a movie
With a kiss on my cheek
He gets up to get something

He comes back into view
Hands behind his back
Three roses in a vase
Along with a ring

He drops to his knee
“I love you girl ~
Will you marry me”
And he kisses my lips

Looking into his eyes
A beautiful baby blue
A smile graces my lips
As I give him my answer . . .

“I love you, too, Jeff
Of course, I’ll marry you”
As he looks into my green eyes
And takes me into his arms

Hair done, Make-up just right
A long, white, flowing dress
Flirting with the flowers
Beneath my bare feet

Sometymes, as close as you can get still isn’t close enough.

Have you ever heard that "No shirt, No shoes" rule? My question is...Why doesn't that rule include pants?

Very sweet.  Congratulations on the engagement.

Oh, and I happen to like the title.  Don't fear lack of a better one.

I agree with Local Parasite on the title. I liked this, and congratulations on the engagement! I hope all goes well for you and your fiance!

Congratulations, Tamma!
I'm glad to see that things are going so well for you.
This is such a sweet poem, I couldn't help but smile.
Keep them coming and I'll keep reading.
