Doubting…
Pondering life’s very essence,
As you lie awake at night,
Just waiting for those sweet dreams,
To wash over your body,
And do so much as to take over your thoughts.

Waiting…
Somehow life has taken the best of you,
Broken you down to dust,
And buried you beneath the surface,
Traveling up that icy road,
With nothing but treadles tires to push you,
You feel like your getting no where.

Loathing…
All the people you meet,
And all the faces you see,
Make you sick,
How could it get this way,
Callous, uncertain, and uncaring,
Human contact is lost,
All thrown in the trash, to be forgotten,

Fearing…
The dreamscapes turning to nightmares,
Twisting the realm of reality,
What’s up? What’s down? It’s hard to tell,
Hard to distinguish what’s good and evil?
Then you come to the fork in the road,
But you know both directions are wrong,
So why even try.

Wanting…
A life free of fear,
A life liberated of hate and confusion,
Who are you trying to kid,
Happiness is extinct now,
And there's no going back.

Crying…
For all the souls lost in the last great war,
Not the wars you or I know,
But a war waged against pain,
Pain in our own minds eye,
The requiem of sanity is realized,
As the Darkness spreads on.

I LOVE THIS POEM!!!!!....
It's soooooooo unbelivebly dark!
And It's not what i expected to read...But i ment that in a good way!...
To me...i think this is one of your very best pieces that i've seen from you...
(i should know your on my favorites list)

Seems he takes "dark" as a compliment, hehe...

I thought this poem was okay, but ending a poem in its title always aggravates me... and I've said that a million times this week but I see no harm in repeating myself...

Anyhow... nicely written.
