I tried
I failed
Next year I'll try again
My dad said he'd help me
He's gonna make me aggressive
All I wanted was to play basketball
But the world will not end
Because next year I will make it
I will prove them wrong
I am gonna be the MVP

You can fall from the sky,
You can fall from a tree, but,
The best way to fall is in love with me

Don't let it bug you, Chloey... there's plenty of other things I'm sure you excel at.  Maybe you should try for the chess club.

Keep smilin' though.     <- just like this guy right here

i find all school related athletics extremely overly competitive, pathetic and demeaning.

if you have a basketball hoop in your driveway, that's all that matters.

trust me, in five years you'll be glad you didn't give into all of that crap.

Set your sights for what you desire, but do not come down on yourself too hard if you do not achieve your goal. There's more to life than b-ball, but it's definitely always a fun thing to do.

Chloey~
I have to echo Dopey here.
Definately go for what you desire, and do your
best, no matter what.
Even if you come up short of your goal, if you've
done your very best, you've succeeded.

I really liked this cause the same thing happened to me once, i got cut from one team made a different team, became the MVP and then made the higher team the year after, with hard work anythings possible, but don't do it for the wrong reasons, do it for yourself, when i made the higher team the year after, i quit half way through the year cause i didn't even wanna play, i just did it to show the coach who cut me the year before that i was good enough. So remember do it for yourself.

I love your attitude. And yes, as they said, do it for yourself...even if it's just proving (to yourself) that you can do it. Or that you're tough enough to try. I know plenty of stories about girls that got cut and then went on to play in college. So if you love it, I say go for it. It might be just my experience but I think people who -don't- participate in athletics (school or otherwise) are missing out on something amazing...long practices and tough competitions and injuries are there, yeah, but there's something they teach you. I'm rambling about something I can't explain again. Anyways, keep writing and going and moving and changing and all of that good stuff.
