After running around
Until our feet were swollen
We sat and talked,
About your band and Goth boys.

And I know I’ll end up
Falling for someone like that
Or maybe like you
Except with shorter hair,
Who plays volley-ball

And I’m grinning from
Ear to ear, trying to put
“I put your poem on my wall”
Into thoughts, but I can’t
Because, it’s all about you.

I can’t wait until Friday to come,
To be in your arms,
Because maybe if I hold you
Everything will be alright.

Not bad.  See?  Multiple stanzas aren't so scary after all.

This poem has a note of unsureness about its content.  I like that, how the narrator embodies the state of mind of the poem.
