In an upside-down garden

Warmth,
trickling like water,
across his body,
transfers to hers
entraped in his arms,
enclosed in the comfort,
things fall apart,
fate subsides.

Every day she falls
more in love with him
drowning deeper
in her own misery,
wallowing
in her own feelings,
things fall apart,
fate subsides.

She could be his Juliet,
if this were common tale;
he would accept his role as Romeo,
nothing standing in the way
not a secret to be kept
love not lost with reason,
things fall apart,
fate subsides.

Every day she leans
and transfers the weight
of her shoulders to his
drowning him deeper
in her own misery,
wallowing in her feelings,
until things fall apart
and fate subsides.

Ignore me, just attempting to learn german the hard way...

Quadrat Im Kreis
-------------------------------------------------------------------

scheißegal was auch passiert

Immer wieder stell ich fest,
daß das hin und wieder immer
öfter ständig ist

A really good read, I especially liked the repeat at the end of every verse, anyway thanks for sharing it with us

This is so well done.  I love the structure of it, the cadence, the phrasings... all absolutely perfect.  "Fate subsides" is so catchy and perfectly worded.  I've mentioned before that I'm not a fan of titling poetry by the repeated line, although I suppose it doesn't do much harm in this instance...

Congratulations on the 1500.  Hope to see you in here more often, Alyssa.

Thank you very much, parasite...

Okay guys, there's this lit journal at my school and next week is rush week and I'm thinking about submitting some of my works, but I'm not sure if I will or what I want to submit. Hmm...
What do you all think?

And, does anyone know anything about Ohio's statutory rape laws?

My favourite is "Mine."     Aside from that, most of your recent work is really good and would be acceptable.
