They take control of you
Contorting themselves to look beautiful
Disguising themselves to be your best friend
They make you think they solve all your problems
But they just mask them and in the end give you more
You need them
You want them
You dream about them
The taste, the feeling
The sweet victory of holding them in your hand
And then consuming them
One more night’s survival
They are your masters
As well as your servants
They make you forget your problems
Or more so that you even have problems
Don’t take them away
They save me from this hell
They’re beautiful, they’re sweet
No one understands
No one can help like they can
Inhale the remedy to all your problems
Swallow the cure
Save yourself
Free yourself
Fly away from this earth
Run away from these people
They can’t hurt you anymore
You have a weapon
Their words mean nothing
You are strong, you have help
But you cannot escape them
You cannot face anything without them
They won’t let you down
But they won’t stop tormenting you either
If you go too long without them
They scream into your ears not to forget them
To take them back
You’re useless without them
They chase you, knock you down
You’ll never win
They are stronger than you
Do not underestimate their power
You can’t ask for their help “just once”
They stay with you forever
Whether you want them there or not
They follow you around
Pleading for you to continue
Swallow just once more pill
Do just one more line
Soak it all up
Lick up the rest
You need it

They are beautiful
They are your best friend
And your worst enemy
Do not betray them
Or they might betray you next time you run to them
They are more powerful than you took them for

drugs are a powerful demon. But you can get away from them. Or better yet, just stay away from them altogether! They will only own you if you let them. Strong first post!

thanks for the kind words and just a note, i have escaped them, i have another called "withdrawel" that i will post later,this one's supposed to be the during and the other is the after effect. i'm one of the lucky ones.
