I go from day to day,
Counting down until
I get to lick the bowl clean,
Mum says it’s really not
such a good thing
But they haven’t yet
found me out, tell me
Ashley, when they do,
Will they make a big quilt
for me and call it peace
just like they did for you?
Now a days to them peace
costs as much as a good DVD
They know what the right
thing is, Ashley, yeah
they have the right idea
But I see them biting off
their tongues and kicking
at shins –
So much for my quilt,
So much for your death
meaning something to all
the people who cried at
your funeral that day
I guess hearts are only
good for candy
And compassion is
only worn because it’s
as fashionable as your

this was such a powerful piece.  it almost knocked me off my chair.

i loved every last word.  and i normally never use my library, but for this i will.

Whoa! If this doesn't spell out intensity, nothing will. I'm speechless right now, completely unable to form some sort of praise/criticism that would be fitting for the piece.
