The day I came back
was one of mourning
The day I regret
is come back to haunt me
The hour I wrote this
I was intoxicated
It's really too bad
I'm not still in there
What a waste of life
Will they remember me
five years from now
do I deserve it?
The morning I realized
no one cared
was the minute
I lost myself
This day I came back
Not happy, not sad
this is the night
I cry for happiness
The clock strikes
the hour for which
I can not tell you
The hour when I have no self-pity
This is the minute
This the right now
This is the moment
which I lived for
The moment my love died.

Wow, this is terrifically dark... you did some great work organizing your thoughts here and bringing them all out at the end, with such a strong conclusion...

Some very powerful work, Ina... good to see you posting again.

You know, it shocked me when i saw one of your poem's having only -one- reply to it. One of my fav poets of PIP and one reply. That's just terrificly sad, especially when this is such a strong write. But then again, from what I've read of you, your pieces always have a great bite to them. Which I happen to enjoy. Once again regina, another great piece. Very emotionally charged. Striking a chord in me as well..
-love- these parts:
quote:
The morning I realized
no one cared
was the minute
I lost myself
This day I came back
Not happy, not sad

and
quote:
The clock strikes
the hour for which
I can not tell you
The hour when I have no self-pity
This is the minute
This the right now
This is the moment
which I lived for
The moment my love died.

beautiful ending dear. this is in the library. keep writing and i'll  keep reading.
hope everything is alright. *hug*

Pretty deep there. I see you still write about melancolic topics, but you write them well. I enjoyed this poem here Regi....much love.
