It's Christmas time
and so I go,
door to door
with the Jesus herd.
To breathe
some festivity
into the homes
of the cold hearted and the
opprobriously agnostic.
And I smile so big
and so wide
because, as you see,
I'm just perfect
with my golden cross
around my neck.
And my Saturday nights
filled with skittles
and stale blood.

so foul and fair a day i have not seen.  - macbeth act 1, scene 3

Damn, Jen, I could connect with this - especially the ending. It's real and that's what I like. All this fake crap that is currently floating around here is ridiculous. It's nice to read something from you and know that it's actually truth instead of flowery BS.

Sorry, I'm in a foul mood but I did enjoy this. *click* I'll email you a little later.

Everything is candy coated, isn't it?
I happen to like red

I really loved this poem in every way....cept for the word "opprobriously". I had to look it up hehe.
Nicely done.

so did she, Javier.

I like this a lot, too... very simple, and I like how ironic the title is.

Very cute.

hey brian, here's a word for you to look up:

effete.

or how about cretin.

maybe dullard.

no, effete is definitely most suiting.

for all sixty seven inches.  eh?
