The pain is still there
each time I see you with her
It still hurts

The tears still fall
every now and then when I think of you
I still cry

The love is still there
when I look at you in the hallways
My heart still feels

Your touch still lingers
when I lay in bed alone at night
My skin still wants

Your kiss still hangs
when love has not kissed me in so long
My lips still long for

Your voice still rings
when I sit alone in the silence of the woods
My ears still hear

Your eyes still burn
when I look at a picture of us
My soul still feels

Your memories still haunt
when I wind down from the busy day
My mind still remembers

The love I still have for you
It follows me still
Never relesing me from it's grip

I thought it was over
I thought my tears were done falling
I thought my heart was done bleeding

I'll be alright if you care
I do this every now and then
But I always get over it

I guess when I thought I could stop loving you
I set myself up for this
To remember everything

But I hope your happy
Thats all I care about
And if she makes you happy

So be it

Nice write Hannah, pain does go away eventually...even if you are truly happy for him. Hope it ends soon

This is lovely. I see a lot of turmoil in your mood, as expressed poetically. And in the end, your feelings are so profound that you decide you will accept whatever he desires to be the best for him.

That is strong of you.

I'd also like to mention that I like the structure of this piece. Three-line stanzas are a difficult thing to do well.
