I wrote this one about church camp, the day before we had to leave.  Anyway, just thought I'd make sure ya'll didn't think I was leaving PIP.

GOODBYE FOR NOW

Goodbye for now
To the friends I’ve made
And the people who have
Loved me for being me

Hello to the real world
To the merciless judgment
Of right and wrong
And of who I am

But I’ll never have left
In my mind and soul
I’ll keep living in this place
Where love is always found

Every now and then God lets us have that special moment in time where we literally say, "I shall remember THIS moment..." and we are strengthened by it to go into our futures, and face our unknowns.  This brought back a lot of good memories, and I thank you for sharing yours!

This is very positive.  I like how it's kept brief, it's almost something you could write in a card.  Very sweet.

You used a good form of structure here and a nice discretion pertaining to length.  Nicely done.

Those are the kinds of memories that will last a lifetime.
Very well express, Cody.

Very well stated. The real world can be cruel, but can be rewarding too.

it is putting out the lamp
because the dawn has come.
