...in my boxers...

My feelings cause the decay
of long-brewed maturity.
They hide from my eyes
the bitter taste of truth.
Reason, reason, reason,
it's gone, so gone from me.
With you.

The essence of calm
so easily lost.
Nothing I can do
to unflutter my heart.
Absence is nothing
but time away.
Time to think,
time to ponder,
time to know...

I miss you already.

My feelings cause the decay
of long-brewed maturity.
They hide from my eyes
the bitter taste of truth.
Reason, reason, reason,
it's gone, so gone from me.
With you.

Things suddenly sting
like a poorly made movie.
My thick skin is now no softer
then that baby's little butt.
(Cute, ain't he?)
What can I say?
What should I say?
All I know is...

I miss you already.

There are no more mole hills,
dear,
only mountains.

My feelings cause the decay
of long-brewed maturity.
They hide from my eyes
the bitter taste of truth.
Reason, reason, reason,
it's gone, so gone from me.
With you.

With you.

I think this is my favourite of all I've read from you. It feels very sincere. It just feels.

There are those poems, Daniel, where repetition of key lines only add more depth to the intensity...this was one of those times.  Good work!

Nice seeing you again, Titus!  Long time no read.

I see you're coming along in your poetry.  A nice one-sided dialogue here, almost epic in feel by the way you describe it.

I have to admit that the molehill/mountain reference was an eyesore, in my books.  Trim down the references to cliches if at all possible.

Overall, quite impressive.

Titus~
This is an excellent write, my friend.
I absolutely love it.
I especially enjoyed these lines...

"There are no more mole hills,
                   dear,
              only mountains."

Very cool...me likes...a lot!

Ack.......she liked the same thing I did.

"There are no more mole hills,
dear,
only mountains."

Yeah, those lines were really great. I think it sums up the whole poem- hey the title probably came from it hehe. Very well written.
