My mom has fought depression since 1989 She was committed Because she was thinking of overdosing She called Dad And told him to flush the pills And he did As she said But since then Mom has been put On every kind of depression medicine Known to man She has her good days And she has her bad days She wakes up crying Or she wakes up smiling Some days she yells at me for no reason Some days she hugs up on me Depressive feelings Is what she is having today Hopefully it will get better With time Cold hands means a warm heart |

I hope she can work through this. I find lots of exercise and a good diet to be helpful, and surround yourself with laughter as often as possible. Funny animal antics always work for me. Peace, keep smiling. |

That's a heavy load, 23. I found your counterpoint about flushing all the drugs, then your Mom taking drugs to be well done. Ironic, isn't it? You've handled this so well. |

 (big hugggssssss) I too follow Kacy's advice; make sure she gets plenty of fresh air and exercise and then otherwise she will have to do the rest of it with her own faith and strength with you and her loved ones support! Prayers for your mom, Julie... I have a good friend with the same problem and sometimes it seems that what ever it is that she tries only works for a short time... She has also had every single anti-depressant drug ever known... and the only ones which work, usually have horrible side effects... Longjohn is right... you do shoulder a heavy load here...
