I who broke your chains
your whole existence marred?

I never found you strange
or an oddity of sorts
an aberration to be shunned
Or a deformity to abort.

I just found you enslaved
and offered my love free
a road to freedom paved
far from slavery.

I gave you of my charm
of my unequaled peace
the peerless of my calm
and managed your release

But tumults now you talk
and bedlam now inspire
pandemoniums you wrought
were never my desire.

How ardently you lie!
Compose impassioned songs
and use them to deride
the place where I belong.

Now free and brazen-faced
with insolence you speak
of the impudence of my race
and the heedlessness of my reach

And haughtily proclaim
And herald near and far

That I who broke your chains
your whole existence marred.

Thanks for feedback!
Yes, you are right--there is strong emotion expressed here. Not that I began the poem with that sentiment, but as it developed, the emotion began to surface as one thought led to another and certain memories began to kick in--my teeth. LOL!

Glad you enjoyed.
God bless!
