standing on a shadow's lace

Star Light

would it really
be such a risk
to change our lives
where everything we
left behind goes on
it still survives
come with me
we shall sail
out on the sea
it is just
an ocean wide
where we dance
to waltzing water
upon the tide
then maybe find some
of the whitest sand
take up our anchor
build a bamboo hut
on this dry land
underneath a shady
grove of palm trees
resting to the oceans
moistures breeze
say good-bye
to brick and stone
a fantasy we
both have known
listen to old stories
told by a crackling fire
then give in to
the purest touch
of our desire
this could be
a place in time
a world
just yours and mine
and in morning wake
to skies of gray
and still know
it would be our day
then later
to kiss good night
to the shimmering
bounce of water’s
star light

I’m not disappointed,  I never expected anything from you.

Slick...wouldn't it be wonderful to be able
to be in a place as beautiful as you have
painted on your starlit frame....

I think it would...

Helen - simply beautiful.  I liek the flow - it caught me off guard a couple times, but the catch was natural.

Oh, how beautiful this painted picture of the heart is. I want to walk into this perfect imagery and live in the safety and security of the moment. Well done, lovely.

WOW!

Can we set sail as soon as I get there?

Nice little trip.
You make it sound so easy and so inviting.

Well done.
