I was drivin' to New Orleans
A friend of mine and I,
Cruisin' down to Mardi Gras,
Driving eighty five.

Listening to the radio,
One of them trivia shows,
Drivin' in a Mustang,
With my mobile phone.

The DJ asked a question,
Said: "We'll take caller number nine"
I must have dialed that number,
At least a dozen times.

The question that he asked was:
"What's it say upon,
Smokey Bear's hat my friends,
That's what this question's on.

I finally got the DJ,
He said: "You're caller number nine!
Congratulations fella,
You called us just in time!"

He again repeated the question,
But said I answered wrong?
The answer that I rendered was;
"Hat made in Taiwan?"

He laughed and laughed until he sobbed,
And though I answered wrong,
Asked me if I wanted a job,
Cuz my mind is really gone!

(giggles in delight) Awwwwwww, I'm so sorry to hear that, sweet friend, but you know what they say, only YOU can prevent forest fires so maybe next time you can keep your cool and win caller nine everytime! (big hugggssssss) This is delightful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Toerag, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

ROFLMAO!!!! You should have won the prize, anyway... he didn't specify the FRONT of the hat, did he? LOL

Talk about thinking outside the box... this is classic, sweets! *S* I love it!

(And yes, since my memory problems have been discussed, I DO remember this one. *G* But it certainly deserves another read... and it still makes me laugh. *G*)

You are too cool!  Loved the beat.
Loved the humor. Thanks for the pic., I was sure scared to open it.

Such fun you give to us. Thank you.

Warmly,

Do you solemnly swear
That this "Smokey the Bear"
Is a story so true
And this happened to you?

--Actually, I believe it happened as you described it---altho' this would be a highly unusual occurence, it could quite possibly have occured to a very unusual man!---and you, dear Toe, are an unusually funny one at that!
