Tragedy

Tragic is a river of pain
That tumbles from the spring of life
It digs a bed in run of bane.
With the shovel of time and strife

It eats into our walls defense
It seeps into our wishing well
Dissolving all our tolerance
And keeps us in a state of hell.

It sleeps with us in nightly seem
With phantoms that roll over us
It works its way into our dreams
It sickens us with pools of pus.

Thus the human cannot fly
Grounded in the rivers bend
Shackled from a golden sky
Until the tragedy will end

So do not sail the tragic sea
Repress the thoughts and fly with me.

Seymour, very good work to read first thing this morning. You are a very good teacher, in your poetry and your subjects. Thanks so much for both.

Such wisdom. I flew  ~within~ the first semi-decent poems I've written and (posted) last night, in a very, very long time.  It is a beginning. You and several others here are inspirations and mentors. How blessed I am.

After just reading Radrook's poems, I kinda hate to open my mouth for he described me to a "T", and I, he.

This has been adventure for sure.

As ever, thanking you,
Pat

I was nodding in agreement as I read this wonderful work... Your wise words definitely struck a chord. *S* And then I reached the final couplet and the smile you'd left waiting... *S* I much enjoyed, Seymour! *S*

(sigh) Oh Seymour, yes, may you always fly the friendly skies as a detour to the choppy sea before to destiny! (big hugggsssss) This is excellent, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Seymour, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Seymour darling man I'd fly with you anywhere

As always your writing is utterly utterly fabulous and I love it. We're missing you here and wish you would come back. We could have done with your poetic eye to describe the sunset we filmed at Hudson, or your artistic flair to capture the moment for us all at the very least.

I'll speak to you soon
Love and warm stuff
as always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire

Mr. T.,

I'd rather repress
What makes me sad
And fly with you
To make me glad

sorry so late me Stinkylove...
my time was not my own today. Am I too late to give you goodnight smooches and winkies

In the space between now and then
I lost the fire, lost a friend
and Ill never be the same again
Still, I believe in the innocence
we gave away.
