~Castles In The Mist~
~duet by Mistletoe Angel and Gentle Spirit~

Magnificent moments of magical realms
in wondrous legends of mythical times
the supreme elite of Mount Olympus
the Gods and Goddesses of divine.

When Aphrodite arose from the foam of the sea
when Demeter brought us marriage and fertility
olives ripe, wine flowing from the sacred vines
where heroes are remembered and legends never sleep.

The heroic Knights of Arthur's Round Table
all rode with pride upon mighty gallant stead
in loyalty serving their king and country
they swore to live by this knightly creed.

Lady of the Lake rises with Excalibur
from the Celtic pearly depths of Dozemary Pond
days where Morgan le Fay flew and healed
when Guinevere's tears commenced
love's sacred bond .

Stories passed on of fire breathing dragons
during days of a long forgotten past
when warlocks and wizards like Merlin
reveled in powers by the spells they'd cast.

Princes and gentleman offering largesse
honoring chivalrous codes in condescension
enduring with prowess and fellowship
lassitude by no means a destination.

Now all rests in the Chalice Well Gardens
buried deep in the oceanic graves
of Lyonesse to no avail
sits naked in the silence of Cadbury Castle,
in an empty throne waiting to be sipped
from the blood spring of the Holy Grail.

There is a lingering through out eternity
a most mystical lure we can not resist
until finally all that's left are the shadows
fading along with the castles in the mist.

If I have touched one heart through my words, then I have acheived my dream...

A romantic heart has no mercy
for it must write and tell of its agony.
But, wrapped into such poetry as this,
two dear friends bring emotion into ecstasy

Donna, you two make a great writing team.  Just beautiful!

The stars will shine when I am gone,
the earth will turn on as before,
the gulls, still race along the shore,
the morning star, still kiss the dawn

Well, I am so incredibly proud of you two former collaborators of mine! This is the magical kingdom, I visit so often when the real world can get my spirits down.

You have created a masterpiece! I am definitely saving this for my library!

As Lawrence Welk used to say (or at least as I have been told me he used to say! hehe), this was "wonnerful, wonnerful, wonnerful!!!"

Love and congratulations to you both!

The holiest of all grails of most
precious blood, dipped in
Arthur’s timeworn trod,
Of Knights and Ladies
Their tales now told,
The stories remain of
All

That
~*~
Is
~*~
Good
~*~
And
Two
Come
To share the Word
To make sure all was Heard

I am very proud
of both of you!
