The Eye of I

I cannot suave my sanity
Nor out run my humanity.
I wait the fate of pendulums swing
And the angst that it will bring

I cannot stop the spill of rhyme
Nor can I stop the sands of time.
I wait upon an ageless sea
And watch reflections aging me.

I fly within a minds abyss
On the wings of a lovers kiss
And only vagueness shows the goal
And only mist surrounds my soul.

The path I walk is eye to I
O’er valley’s green and sails of sigh
And only time does hold my hand
And offered me a wedding band

So why remains the mast of now
And I remain the path of how.

and...I have said many times...seeing things your wise "eye of I" grants us vision to see into the wisdom of why.
The view of you makes this moth sigh.

Sy..your wise words of wisdom I long for each morning...
Just as I long for the sun to rise...
And always like magic you appear...
To calm me and set me on the right track for the day ahead..
Thank you dear poet sir..
You are a love.
~Morning hugs~

JM,
"The view of you makes this moth sigh."

Brilliant. Each 'line' you write is a volume of poetry in and of itself, to re-read and ponder. What a delight.
Like having a delicious meal, savoring each course, and when you think you cannot eat another bite, dessert, your closings. So full, now I have to go take a nap. I enjoy your poetry trememdously and, like others, look forward to the next. Thanks for making our day.
