In Your Poetic Mind

0 posted 2002-10-06 01:34 PM

In shadows, dawn awakens;
rich,  fog, veil remnants of nights dreams;

    If we should meet, touch
the interior of  hearts, would
you then know:      there lies
a part with in me        you

that I listened to you
play softly,     {how my hair
fell,     strands}  --   one by one framing

a smile, that only you give

An echo    finding the kiss
upon my lips   held by night
           it aches in me
the fingers of  my tears are sore

I miss the linger of your trace,
            in silence beneath the noise of    storms   I'll

watch them float gently away
upon a melancholy night

       what lies in my heart

I shall be content, for now

~~~
Inspired~
I need some distraction
...oh beautiful release
Memories seep from my veins
time and time again, you write what lies in places too deep inside me to yet surface...still every word touches that place and warms me.
This is classic, beautiful Lauren poetry...like reading a butterfly in flight.
I lost the fire, lost a friend
and Ill never be the same again
I particularly loved this image, Lauren.  Beautifully penned, my friend.  *hugs*
Some shadows offer a refreshing coolness to fight off the heat.....but the shadows of your heart carry a warmth that give that special feeling of coziness and comfort found only in our personal blankets of peace.  So wonderful are your words always and so descriptive in their portrayal.
I had to read on with intro lines like these--and I wasn't disappointed! --so dreamy...
P.S. What a beautiful photo!
