Please, be patient
with my beating heart,
for it did not have
a very strong start,
and the connections
have never been strong
enough to be
fully recharged
merely by good intentions.
I needed much stronger bonding,
but it never happened.
So now and then
when you think I'm dead,
please be patient.
I am just resting
and recharging as best I can,
for I intend to keep running
a while longer.

Please, just be patient
with my beating heart.

Shove over luv! Make room for me to lie down next to you and we can recharge our hearts together. (That didn't come out right!) We can exchange war stories!---They say misery loves company! hehe

With this poetic plaintiff plea, you expressed yourself so gently with a hint of what it is that has been keeping you out of commission for awhile. Before you know it, your batteries will be so charged that you'll be able to turn the moon into the sun at midnite!

Kacy,
No way! You mean your energize bunny failed?! Holy cow...use the camel.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Kellie, thank you, but please don't cry.

Larry, have you got a spare battery?

Hello, Ethel, and thank you. I am OK.  I think we all need a recharge now and then,
emotionally and physically.

This is very good. Lord knows, my heart could most certainly do with some recharging. Sometimes I feel like I'm on E! But poetry like this is what brings me back up. Thanx for sharing.

James, thank you for visiting this too-weak poet.
Krissie? remember the song 'Runnin on Empty'?
this is a good place to hang out, empty or full. Thanks for the reply!

You are so right. We do all need a recharge now and then, emotionally, physically and  'spiritually'...
You are in my prayers. Love your writing.
