With heart of gold you led the way
To the place where poet's play
Your sense of humour was the best
although we put it to the test

Your storytelling was divine
and all the other bits were fine
You helped alleviate the grumps
with first aid you came up trumps

Your equillibrium was unphased
although at times your eyes were glazed
Panache and style were always there
to show those poets how to care

As for grace, you soared above
when you spoke, we fell in love
you drew us all into the fold
of passionate poets, with tales bold

Your wit, your charm your pure delight
kept us lauging through the night
You made the weekend bright and clear
so thank you gorgeous Balladeer.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

Keth,
An excellent write, but I'm afraid balladeer's head will swell up and float him away. LOL

Gee, Keth!--Toe paints a completely different picture of him! Now I'm totally confused as to who the real Balladeer is! haha

--Methinks, it might be your version that be closer to the truth! haha

He couldn't help but love this!

Glad you all had such a great time!

Geez, now I'm really sorry I wasn't there. Michael must be quite the guy!

I enjoyed this and loving reading all the poems from the gathering.

Hugs, Marti

But...he wrecked the bed
And...he was driving too fast
I know, I know, always remember
the good things at last

I miss you all so much, it's cold here Brrrrr and raining, splash splash.

I'm going over to Mommy Muys, give her the presents and have a nice dinner.

Now behave yourself when I'm not there, want some advice on picking up men...er...poets??LOL

Now Balladeer will be totally....totally.....ya know

Kethry, I have never seen anyone able to capture so well my true essence in verse!! Your insight is incredible!!

Seriously, this poem touches me deeply. To be together with so many fine poets that I had known only through their poetry was a wonderful experience for me. If I was able to give you half the pleasure that I received from being among you all then it was all a huge success. I will not forget the time we spent and the laughs we shared in this lifetime, I assure you. You are exceptional...

Earth Angel...You have to understand Toerag. The more he berates and insults someone, the more he likes them. So when you see his insults to me, know that he is saying "Hi, pal!"

Balladeer

Oh, I know Toe is funning around. I'd actually think it would be a compliment to have a poem written by him about me--no matter what slant he put on it! He cracks me up!

---In fact, while you were in Florida, I posted a poem I wrote for him, "Ode To Toe"
--check it out and pay your respects to one of the best comedic poets that I have ever come across--besides yourself of course!

another tribute well deserved and as Titia said...he was a hard one to keep up with...

but I found one fault with the two men who put together the barbecue...I have to admit to them that my burger tasted like lighter fluid...and if my cough would have been any deeper or with any more force, I think I would have been sending flames their way...
