This autumn's eve whose light allowed
detached surveillance in a crowd
a single form of subtle grace
so pleasing memory can't erase.

The stars aligned us in that space
kismet would find us face to face
and though I swore no more Loves pull
you blushed when called adorable.

Such pure response, so innocent
to quite a virgin compliment
though offered with such ease it placed
a hint of rose on me too traced.

The more I watched that more seemed chaste
so sipped mine eyes acquired taste
as soothing an inebriate
as any cause to celebrate.

A timid courage mustered me
to lead you to my poetry
now I await cette jeune fille belle
write Poetwells@aol

(and pray forgive my doggerel
though written quick it is no bull)

Wonderful write and a pleasure to read. Chris

Unbelievable, the irony of your timing. A most hopeful write.

Richard

The fact that I enjoyed this delightful poem has nothing to do with the fact that I'm a virgo.

Richard, I loved your poem. You make music with your words, too, kind sir. There are lots of musicians here, huh? I  "hear"  music often, here. I love this site and this wonderful "family of friends".  I hope to read more of your "music", Richard. Thank you for sharing.
With love to all from Ethel/garysgirl

You need to watch out for those Virgos, Sir.  I have heard that they can be quite tricky.

Thank you.
