Shadows that follow us
In the gloom of gray days
Suffocating light

Shadows clinging to us
In magnetic ways of attraction
Overpowering illumination

Shadows within a conscience
Remembering past infractions
Unbearable elucidation

Shadows born with us
Riding within our memories until
They merge with earth
