"The End Is Near"

When everything’s finished.
When everything’s kaput.
When everything’s come undone.
When everything’s out of whack.

That’s how you know.
That’s how you’ll tell.
That’s when you’ll get it.
That’s how you’ll find out.

Days go by, and you don’t notice.
Only until someone tells you
Then you’ll realize, it’s been done.
It’s been gone, for months
And you didn’t even look behind you.

You’re smart.
For the end is near,
And you didn’t care.
Forgetting what you left behind
Only made you stronger.

You might not believe it.
But the facts I tell you are true.
Truer than your own beliefs
The end is near.
You’re smart, but can you honestly tell me
You’ve never looked back?

Good night - I'm actually going to bed this time. Heh.

I look back, I look forward, sometimes I can't tell the difference. But I liked the poem a lot.

Good read.

Thanks,
Melton

I may not be where I started out to be,
but I’ve ended up where I’ve always needed to be.
